Spend Analytics Training Overview
The following training modules are available for Spend Analytics:
- General Information (this module) – overview of solution and general information
- Basic Navigation – how to log in and access dashboards as well as general navigation
- Reports – how to create a report and download data
- Opportunities – how to filter, create and action an opportunity
- Intelligent Alerts – how to see and understand AI generated alerts
Application Roles and Security
Spend Analytics is accessible via a unified login, meaning a user has only one username and password regardless of which application they are authorized to access. A company can either login via SSO (where user is authenticated by the customer) or via a Xeeva provided username/password. regardless of which method is used, there is only one username to access Xeeva’s applications.
When a user is onboarded to Xeeva, the customer must specify one of the three user roles that must be assigned to the user. A user can have have access to one or more categories and one or more locations.
The user role, the list of categories a user has access to and the locations a user has access to are assigned via CSS (Xeeva’s administrative portal). Currently, this role assignment is completed by Xeeva’s technology team. All requests to add or change user roles require a support ticket.

CXO – This is the Corporate user. This user role is able to see all dashboard pages, and data for all categories. Currently this user has the highest level of visibility

Buyer – This user is able to see all dashboard pages but data only for the locations assigned to them. A buyer can be assigned one or more locations.

Category Manager (new role) – This user is able to see all dashboard pages but data only for the Category Type assigned to them. A Category Manager can be assigned one or more Category Types.
Permission – in addition to the user role, the user can be assigned permission to download the data. By default, a user is assigned permission to download data unless the customer specifically requests to remove this permission. When assigned this permission, the user can download the data from all charts.
