Summary:

The Crib Attendant reports to the designated on-site leader/manager. At the direction of the leader/manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing ongoing tasks associated with storeroom operations, such as (but not limited to) handling parts, receiving, stocking, issuing, labeling, cycle counting, delivery, reporting, and interfacing with purchasing, client end-users, and occasional supplier interaction. In providing direct material support to the company’s key customers, this position is a regular frequent point of contact with the client and requires a strong, effective customer service capability.

Basic Job Requirements:

  • Receiving, auditing for accuracy, and stocking of incoming material
  • Escalations to management of non-conformance deliveries. Interaction with suppliers
  • Following 5S and FIFO procedures when stocking material, including filing of receiving documents
  • Physically implementing or rearranging new and existing storerooms, including labeling of bins
  • Performing various daily computer activities, such as inputting daily transactions, inventory set up/maintenance, generating reports, working on spreadsheets, and timely responses to all emails
  • Perform cycle counting and reconciliations of inventory according to set guidelines, including computer entries
  • Deliver parts to point of use locations as required by customer agreement or as directed by management
  • Customer communications – respond to customers on various inventory inquiries and needs as applicable (one time expedited orders/material back-in-stock)
  • Interact with purchasing group on matters of material stock-outs, open orders follow up (PRs/POs), deliveries, material discrepancies, supplier concerns, and customer concerns
  • Communicate/escalate to leadership any condition deemed to have a negative effect on the customer operations and/or the program, including any known customer concerns or complaints
  • Strict adherence to customer guidelines and procedures pertaining to health, safety, building access, parking, and administrative requirements (such as entering data, completion of records), maintaining company property, and any additional guidelines specific to program staff as communicated by your leader/manager
  • Participating in daily/weekly team meetings as assigned by your leader/manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your leader/manager

Advanced Job Requirements:

  • Identify opportunities that will drive continuous improvement and overall customer satisfaction (process improvements, stock fill rates, accuracy)
  • Identify cost-savings opportunities
  • Work in various storeroom designs and applications, including industrial vending solutions
  • Participate in projects and multiple work areas throughout the plant as required
  • Ability to hold oneself and others accountable to clear standards of service excellence in an increasingly dynamic environment. Focus on creating the right solutions to address specific needs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability and willingness to cross-train in storeroom responsibilities and disciplines
  • Preferably minimum 6-month experience in inventory/warehouse/storeroom operations
  • Must be able to lift weight unaided of up to 50 pounds; higher weights using equipment, such as pallet jacks
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Must be able to perform at a high level with minimal supervision
  • Able to interact with customers as a single point of contact
  • Preferred experience working with trades in a maintenance or repair environment
  • Prior experience in vending applications beneficial
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office software and familiarity with ERP software
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Attention to detail and organization skills are required
  • Sincere empathy towards customers needs and teammates – team player
  • Some customer service experience required
