 The right candidate will:

  • Act as the point of contact for all MRO spot buys as directed by the program manager
  • Provide outstanding customer service, communicate with program managers, site managers, shift lead, crib attendants, data analysts, and other functional teams.
  • Utilize and maintain the current MRP system to effectively schedule material deliveries
  • Expedite orders to meet production schedules and be responsible for the daily transactions for needed materials
  • Handle customer complaints and coordinating corrective actions with the appropriate department
  • Maintain buying related program action tracker by monitoring and updating program lead on the status on a weekly basis
  • Participate in any particular transaction related meetings with the Xeeva team or customer team
  • Maintain positive working relationships, attention to detail, and a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform necessary data conversions, data cleansing, and enrichment, as well as apply industry knowledge to setup catalogs
  • Analyze data to determine trends, patterns, anomalies, and/or benchmark performance
  • Develop any specific reports for the audience at the operating level, middle-management, and executive management

Top characteristics, traits, and experiences associated with success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, MIS, business, or related fields
  • 2-5 years’ experience working in a buying group preferably indirect purchasing
  • Prior experience in MRO or indirect materials/services buying and negotiating contracts is required
  • Knowledge/understanding of computer systems/MRO/purchasing systems
  • APICS certifications not necessary but preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and general IT and computer skills; Experience developing reports using Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to identify, document, and present cost savings and program optimization opportunities
  • Must possess and demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and business judgment
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative in solving problems, and work effectively with a variety of people and work styles
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with strong interpersonal/communication skills
